Volunteer/Donate
All the great work that is accomplished through the non-profit Challenge Ranch, Inc. relies
upon private donations. The trainers, assistants and Board of Directors for Challenge Ranch
Inc. donate their time without compensation because of their dedication to helping
under-privileged children.
Donate:
Challenge Ranch Inc. appreciates donations of any type of new or used equine or ranch
equipment. The ranch is always in need of tack, blankets, halters, corral panels, show jumps,
etc.
Any monetary donation is greatly appreciated, for $200, you will feed and care for a horse,
dedicated to working with under-privileged children, for a full month. $3,600 will allow a young
person unlimited riding, encouragement and support in the non-profit Challenge Ranch Inc.
program for one year.
Please send all donations to: Challenge Ranch, Inc.

Volunteer:
If you would like to help or volunteer with our program, please contact us or we have volunteers
from Volunteer San Diego come out bi-monthly. You can also go to www.volunteersandiego.org
and sign up to help.

Right now, we are looking for people to volunteer with the horses. We are looking for people
both with horse experience and those without. For those volunteers who have horse
experience, you will be welcome to ride the ranch horses. For people who have an interest in
learning about horse care/management and learning to ride, we will initially give you horse
care and management lessons in exchange for two hours of volunteer time. Once you have
mastered some basic horse care skills, such as grooming and tack cleaning, for every four
hours of volunteer time, we will give you a riding lesson.
We will be holding orientations for this program Nov. 18th at 11:00 AM, Nov. 30th at 2:00 PM,
Dec. 16th at 100:00 AM, and Dec. 28th at 2:00 PM.
Volunteers are needed weekdays and weekends. If you are interested in volunteering with the
horses, please contact us via the web form letting us know a little about yourself, you horse
experience (none needed), how often you would like to come out (could be a little as once a
month), any questions you may have, which orientation, if any, you could attend, and a way for
us to get in contact with you.
