About the Ranch
Challenge Ranch is located on a 10 acre ranch in beautiful Dehesa Valley in the East County of
San Diego. We specialize in english style riding activities, mainly working with children and
young adults. We have a selection of well kept, much loved, horses and ponies ranging from
11-17 hands. Breeds include thoroughbreds, arabs, welsh, tennessee walkers, and
percheron. English style riding is taught by enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructors, who
truly enjoy working with young people.

The ranch has a trail around the rim of the property to give riders a safe introduction to trail
riding and additional trails are directly available from the property with no roads to cross. In
addition to the rim trail, we have a cross-country course with a variety of natural obsticles over
different terrain. Regular events are held at Challenge Ranch throughout the year. These
include show jumping, mounted games, equitation classes and cross country events.

Activities are arranged on a never-ending schedule and riders are encouraged to try all types of
equestrian activities. Riders are expected to be responsible for their horses, always improve
their riding, and above all, HAVE FUN!
